Carmen Perez-Cuevas

SELINSGROVE - Carmen M. (Cardozo) Perez-Cuevas, 79, died Monday, April 3, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born on June 27, 1943 in New York, New York and was the daughter of the late Felix and Maria N. (Rivera) Cardozo.

On October 31, 1981, Carmen married the late Manuel Cuevas and they celebrated 27 years of marriage together until his death on July 7, 2009.

Carmen worked as a telephone operator for the New York Hilton for 36 years and retired in 1999  She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church, Sunbury and was an avid prayer and enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by two sons; Jesus G. Perez of Brooklyn, NY and Matthew D. Cueves of Selinsgrove and two sisters; Christine Cardozo of Hollywood, FL and Jacinta Wood of Danville.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Carmen was preceded in death by two brothers; Felix Cardozo and Rafael Perez-Rodriguez.

All services for Carmen are being handled privately at the convenience of the family.  Burial will take place at a later date in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, Doral, FL.  Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, Milton.
