David R. Faust, Jr., 87, of Winfield, died Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born on October 27, 1932 in Greencastle and was the son of the late David R. and Anna M. (Baer) Faust, Sr.
On October 29, 1954 David married the former Kathleen J. (Kessinger), who survives, and they celebrated their 65th anniversary this past year.
He was a graduate of Chambersburg High School Class of 1950. After school he worked for the Farm Bureau and went on to work 40 years and retired from Agway as a feed mill manager in 1991.
David was a member of Winfield Baptist Church and the Union County Gideons. He was a Penn State and Phillies fan and enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling but most of all, David loved his family and spending time with them in his home.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; David R. Faust, III of Lewisburg, Tim and Tammy Faust of Middleburg, one daughter and son-in-law; Kimberly and Tom Quinn of Leesburg, Fla, seven grandchildren; Daniel and his wife Sherry Faust, Kathleen Quinn and her companion Ross, Andrew and his wife Autumn, Ashley and her husband Kirk Shaffer, Ben and his wife Janelle Faust, Travis Quinn and his companion Kayla and Nic Faust, 10 great grandchildren; Amelia, Jackson, Conner, Julian, Adilyn, Saddie, Deacon, Sara, Molly and Theodore, one brother and sister-in-law; Herbert and Barbara Faust of Chambersburg and one sister; Kate Henry of Hannover.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by one brother; Gary Faust and four sisters; Frances Faust, Betty Baer, Celia Fox and Dotsie Stoutamyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Northumberland Christian School, 351 Fifth Street, Northumberland, PA 17857 or to the Union County Gideons, P.O. Box 525, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
A public viewing will be held for David on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Winfield Baptist Church, 330 State Route 304, Winfield, PA 17889 followed by the funeral at 11:00 with Pastor Corey Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in New Berlin Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
