Dora Minium

MONTOURSVILLE - Dora Mae (Swanger) Minium, 85, died Friday, January 24, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on February 23, 1934 in Lewisburg and was the daughter of the late Leroy and Dorothy (Hauck) Swanger.

On August 5, 1950 Dora married the late Carl E. Minium and they celebrated 55 years of marriage together until his death on July 24, 2006.

Dora was a licensed beautician and owned her own hair salon for several years.  She was a member of Community Baptist Church, Montoursville and volunteered with Ethnos 360, formerly New Tribes Mission.  Dora loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Rex E. and Laurie Minium of Montoursville and Lex C. and Beth Minium of Williamsport, one daughter; Judy E. Goodbrod of Jersey Shore, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and two sisters and one brother-in-law; Joan and Dennis Rearick of Milton and Alice Snyder of West Milton.

In addition to her parents and husband Dora was preceded in death by two brothers Barry and Larry Swanger and one sister; Mary Lou Russell.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Baptist Church Missions Fund, 1853 Rout 87, Montoursville, PA 17854.

A memorial service for Dora will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Community Baptist Church, 1853 Rout 87, Montoursville, PA 17854 with Elder Greg Sanford officiating.  Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Church Hill Cemetery, Lewisburg.
