Emily F. Peterson

DUBOIS - Emily F. (Greis) Peterson, 67, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.  

She was born in Philadelphia on November 24, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Warren R. and Hazel Mae (Tattersley) Greis.

On October 15, 1984, Emily married David J. Peterson, Sr., who survives of DuBois, and together they have celebrated 38 years of marriage together.

She was a former member of Philadelphia Christian Center and Social member of the American Legion.  Emily loved drawing, painting, crocheting, poetry, light houses and roses.  Most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them whenever she could.

In addition to her husband, Emily is survived by two sons; David J. Peterson, Jr. of DuBois, Eddie, four daughters; Emily Mixell of Milton, Carrie Peterson of Williamsport, Ellie Dewire-Heinley of New Cumberland and Katherine Marie of Philadelphia, 18 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother and four sisters.

In addition to her parents, Emily was preceded in death by one grandson; Brendon Henley and one brother; Joseph Greis.

A Celebration of Emily’s life will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at a longtime friend, Robert Lupold, Sr.’s house, 701 Hepburn Street, Milton, PA 17847.   Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
