MILTON - Glenda E. (Thornburg) Ruch, 57, lost her courageous battle with cancer while completely engulfed by the love of her family.
She is the daughter of the late Glenn (Earl) and Sandy Thornburg.
Glenda married the love of her life Joel Ruch on October 16,1982.
For anyone that knew Glenda, knew that her family (including her extended family) and Penn State were her life. She was an amazing wife, mother, Mimi, daughter, sister and Aunt. On game day Saturday if Penn State was playing you could hear her for miles yelling at the tv. But none the less, Win or lose, they were her team and she was proud.
She loved many things about life apart from her family. She loved curly poofy hair, hallmark Christmas movies, going to the beach, camping, Christmas layaway and weekend trips with Her husband, family traditions, mudslides and just spending quality time with her family. Glenda’s grandbabies were her heart and soul. She fought the good fight for them. Saying she will be missed just isn’t enough. “If we know what love is, it is because of you.”
Glenda worked at Seda-Cog for the last 37 years working her way to Program Directer of Community Development. The amount of lives she has touched within her career alone, is countless.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband, Joel, her two children and their spouses, Joshua and Malinda Ruch, Shannon and Bruce Sellard, her two beloved grand babies, Lukas Ruch and Ellie Sellard, Her sister and her spouse, Lori and Peanut Heintzelman, 5 brothers and sisters in law and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
All services for Glenda will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
