MILTON - Glenn “Earl” Thornburg, 81, died Monday, May 11, 2020 at his residence.
He was born in Watsontown on January 28, 1939 and was the son of the late Oliver and Frances (Leahy) Thornburg.
Earl served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps.
He worked for Chef Boyardee, Milton for over 20 years and retired in 1995. Earl was an avid golfer being a former member of Wynding Brook Golf Course, Milton, a Penn State and Phillie’s fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling stories and taking car rides driving through the woods.
Earl is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Glenda E. and Joel Ruch of Milton and Lori L. and Peanut Heintzelman of Troxelville, three grandchildren; Joshua and Malinda Ruch, Shannon and Bruce Sellard and Gina Melone, six great grandchildren; Riley, Sofia, Amani, Matteo, Lukas and Ellie and one sister; Myrna Brady of Marietta.
In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his first wife; Sandra G. (Mabus) Thornburg, three brothers and seven sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
A private burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family in Church Hill Cemetery, Lewisburg. Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
