Jennet M. Guffey

NEW COLUMBIA - Jennet M. (Frederick) Guffey, 87, died Monday, December 30, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Milton on June 3, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Jesse J. and Dorothy (Rearick) Frederick.

On July 30, 1955, Jennet married Robert L. Guffey and they celebrated 37 years of marriage together until his death on July 21, 1992.

She was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1955. She was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lewisburg. Jennet enjoyed sewing and cooking but most of all she loved her family and cherished the time she got to spend with them.

Jennet is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; Terry R. Guffey of New Columbia, Bradley S. and Tonia Guffey of Lewisburg and Barry F. and Lisa Guffey of Milton, three daughters and two sons-in-law; Christine A. Nickey of Milton, Tracie L. and Dennis Keifer of Milton and Wendy S. and Harry Eddy of Milton, 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and one great great grandson that is due in March, one brother and sister-in-law; Marlin and Joyce Frederick of Milton, one sister and Brother-in-law; JoAnn and Jack Speece of Lewisburg and one sister-in-law; Doris Frederick of New Columbia.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jennet was preceded in death by her step-father; Don Sampsell and one brother; Jesse Frederick.

A gathering of friends and family will take place from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by a Celebration of Life service, promptly at 11:00 with Pastor Butch Woolsey officiating. Burial will follow in White Deer Cemetery, Lewisburg.
