DANVILLE - Joseph G. Cook, 42, died unexpectantly on Friday, August 23, 2024 at his home.

He was born on July 2, 1982 in Sunbury and was the son of Gregory R. Cook of Sunbury and Susan D. (Adams) Cook and Nicholas Orphan of Paxinos.

Joseph served his country proudly in the United States Army.

On August 18, 2022, Joseph married Gisella M. (Cespedes-Lopez) and they celebrated two years of marriage together earlier this month.

Joseph was a graduate of Shikellamy High School Class of 2001. After his service in the Army, he went on to attend Luzerne Community College and then finished his education at Capital College, MD with his degree in engineering. 

He worked for IBEW Local Union 607, Shamokin. Joseph loved helping others and fixing things.

In addition to his parents and wife, Joseph is survived by his maternal grandmother; Pearl Goodling, one daughter; Ivy A. Cook of Northumberland, one sister and brother-in-law; Melisa S. Cook and Christopher Kelly of Troxelville, seven nephews; Darion, Braxton, Colton, Kalen, Sloan, Malik and Phoenix along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joseph was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Betty and Ray Cook, maternal grandfather; William Adams and his beloved dog Sandy, who he cherished.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A. 2801 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821.

A gathering of friends and family will take place from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 P.M.
