Marie Confer

Marie L. (Blanding) Confer, 57, of Drums died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born on December 11, 1961 in Lewisburg and was the daughter of the late Dorothy E. “Dot” (Ward) Blanding.

On May 3, 1997 Marie married Kevin E. Confer, who survives, and they celebrated 22 years of marriage together this year.  The two of them met in first grade and quickly became lifelong friends.  All in all they knew each other for the past 52 years.

Marie was a graduate of Milton Area High School, Class of 1979 and went on to work at JPM of Lewisburg.  She was a computer whiz and enjoyed working on them as well, Marie was a part of the Kidney Research Panel for Geisinger Medical Center and the Kidney Disease Dialysis & Transplant support group.  Most of all Marie loved to play bingo.

In addition to her husband Kevin, Marie is survived by one aunt; Rebekah Mitchell and one uncle; James Ward both of Milton along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

In addition to her mother, Marie was preceded in death by one brother; Jeffery Ward.

All services for Marie will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
