Marilyn A. Bricker

ALLENWOOD - Marilyn A. (Allis) Bricker, 77, died Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Center Care, Bellefonte, PA.

Born on October 14, 1946, in Elmira, New York, she was the daughter of the late Ivan W. and Marcia J. (Lent) Allis.

Marilyn’s love for her husband, Kenneth H. Bricker, whom she married on September 9, 1967, was evident throughout their 57 years of marriage. Together, they shared many cherished traditions, including their weekly trips to the farmer’s market. Ever nurturing and generous, Marilyn would give her granddaughter (and her friends) a little spending money, teaching her the value of independence while fostering their special bond. Kenneth, who survives her, remains a testament to the deep and enduring love they shared.

After graduating from South Side High School in Elmira, NY, Class of 1964, she pursued her passion for helping people by attending Arnot Ogden Nursing School, where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. Marilyn provided comfort and care to countless individuals. She retired in 2002 from Muncy Valley Nursing Home, leaving a lasting impact on those she touched.

Marilyn had a passion for music, reading, crocheting and knitting. Her greatest love was playing the clarinet. She was a dedicated member of the Sunbury City Band, the Danville Community Band, and the Repaz Band. A woman of the Methodist faith, Marilyn also cherished the time she spent with her family.

Alongside her husband, Marilyn leaves a profound legacy carried on by her daughter, Karen E. Bricker; her granddaughter, Vivianne E. Bricker; and her great-granddaughter, Rosalynn E. Bricker all of Williamsport. Her love and values continue to inspire the generations of women in her family. Marilyn is also survived by her son, James K. Bricker of Phoenixville; her sister and brother-in-law, Ellen L. and John Corell of Rochester, NY; as well as a niece, a nephew, and five great-nieces and nephews, all of whom were cherished parts of her life.

All services for Marilyn are being handled privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being managed by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
