Steven N. Cassotis

WILLIAMSPORT - Steven Nicholas Cassotis, 80, passed away on September 16, 2023 after a brief illness.  

Born in Lynn, MA on September 9, 1943, he was the second oldest of three children born to the late Nicholas and Galatia (Petrathelis) Cassotis.  Steven was raised in Danvers, MA with his late brothers James and Emmanuel.  

Steve served in the United States Air Force where he received the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.  He enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, reading, talking politics, and spending time with family and friends.  Steve was often found in the kitchen mastering his culinary skills by serving up traditional Greek dishes and other favorite cuisine.

In addition to his loving and devoted wife Ronna (McMurtrie) Cassotis, Steve is survived by his daughter Lorraine (Lorri) (Cassotis) Carboni, granddaughters Caprielle and Kendelle, great grandson Koen, his daughter Stephanie (Cassotis) Messina, grandsons Corey and Alex, his son Nicholas Cassotis and grandson Steven.  He is also survived by Fred and Cindy (McMurtrie) Jacobson, their children Sofie and Josh, Michael and Elise (McMurtrie) Mang, their children Andrew and Alex, and Ben and Akemi McMurtrie.  Steve also leaves behind sisters- in- law Jean and Judy, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

All services for Steve are being held privately at the convenience of the family.  Burial will take place in Milton Cemetery with full Military Honors.  Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
