MILTON - Thomas R. Hackenberg, II, 61, went home to be with our Lord, on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born on February 19. 1963 and was the son of Thomas R. Hackenberg, I of Mifflinburg and Betty Ann (Troxell) Fignar of Middleburg.

On July 23, 2000, after 12 years of being together, Tom married LuAnn (Neitz) Hackenberg, who survives of Milton and they celebrated 23 years of marriage this past year

He attended Luzerne County Community College for mechanics.  After school he went on to work for various places in the valley including, ACF and American Home Foods, Milton.

Tom attended Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton and was a member of the Local 1928 and FSCW 38 both of Milton.  

He loved being outdoors, going hunting, fishing, camping, enjoying time with his pets and farm animals as well as riding his Harley.  Most of all Tom loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  He was deeply loved by his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents and wife, Tom is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law; Anthony L. Phillips and his partner Jada Bryan of Owings Mills, MA, Martin C. and Brittany Gerke of Ravenna, OH and Thomas R. Hackenberg, III and his girlfriend, Julie Hollenbach of White Deer, two daughters and one son-in-law; Jamie L. Neitz of Milton and Jasmine M. Neitz-Beachel and Justin Beachel of New Columbia, 14 grandchildren; Kemper, Braxton, Elijah, Destiny, Gavin, Kylie, Serenity, , Landon, Michael, Maddison, Justice, Landon, Samantha and Isabella and three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Lynn and Eddie Garrett of FL, Vicki Hackenberg of Middleburg and Wendy and Jim Greathouse of Middleburg.

Tom was preceded in death by one nephew; Joshua Greathouse and one niece; Becca Greathouse.

All services for Tom are being held privately at the convenience of the family.  A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date to be announced.  Arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
